The Master List

101 Things In 1001 Days

Family

1. Go on 2 field trips per month
2. Read boys a bedtime story every night
3. Play a board or card game with one child each day.
4. Take a summer or fall trip to Nova Scotia.
5. Eat breakfast at the kitchen table together every morning, and one other meal.
6. Send pictures regularily to grandparents and aunties.
7. Be pregnant when Briar is three.
8. Everyone's passports need to be done.
9. Make sure the boys have the option/choice of attending school each year

Home

10. Hire housecleaner 2x per year (August and February)
11. Declutter basement
12. Clean school shelf in kitchen
13. Transfer addresses to address book (seriously, I bought the address book 4 years ago, and haven't done this yet).
14. Clean something every single day.

Health

15. Shop at H&W Produce weekly, to keep fridge full of fruits and veggies, and don't let too much get moldy
16. Have a better garden in the summer 2009
17. Make healthier meals for the kids
18. Drink tall water bottle's worth of water every day.
19. Take advantage of Y membership with exercise classes (strollercize?)
20. Find a suitable daily vitamin to replace prenatal vitamin
21. Chocolate is a treat, not a food group
22. Replace ice cream with Breyer's 100-calorie ice cream cups
23. Eat 100-calorie snacks instead of cookies, M&M's, etc.

Hobbies

24. Attend 1-2 scrapbooking functions per month e.g. 10 for 10, crop, make and take etc.
25. Make some of the layouts from the ideas that I've saved or dog-eared
26. Read some scrapbooking magazines from the pile

Spirit

27. Resume Church attendance
28. Introduce myself to the Pastor, and the Youth Pastor
29. Become involved in one small group Church Activity
30. Sing
31. Listen to SHINE FM twice a week

Finances

32. Completely pay off 1/2 debt--including Mastercard, Receiver General, parents line of credit, ScotiaGold Visa, Scotialine Visa, and real estate penalty (approximately $80,000.00)
33. Stay out of overdraft for 12 straight months (January-December, 2009)
34. Purchase a table at 3-5 I've Outgrown It Sales per year
35. Build up RRSP by 25%
36. Build up RESP by 25%
37. Open a new RRSP for Briar
38. Briar does not need any store-bought clothes, she has enough given to her from friends
39. Go to the library, swallow pride, and ask them to forgive late fines, so we can start taking out books again
40. Continue being frugal while debt is being paid off

Jared

41. Encourage Jared to bake each week (new recipes such as key lime pie, biscotti or jam)
42. Encourage Jared to cook one or two meals each week
43. Develop homeschool schedule for 2008/2009 and stick to it! eg. math on Monday, book reports on Tuesday, LA on Wednesday etc.
44. Teach Jared multiplication tables
45. Develop list of values with Jared, to teach him
46. Read a chapter book to Jared (Maybe Little House on the Prairie)

Quinn

47. Develop homeschool schedule for 2008/2009 and stick to it!
48. Teach entire alphabet (recognition)
49. Teach Quinn to print all 26 letters, upper and lower case
50. ReaderEggs for Quinn to learn reading
51. Teach Quinn to memorize his phone number and address
52. Swim lessons---Quinn needs to learn how to swim
53. Involve Quinn in more chores
54. Be patient and calm with Quinn so he learns patience
55. Cuddle with Quinn by himself every day
56. Finish Quinn's baby book, including all journaling

Jezek

57. Potty-train
58. Finish Jezek's baby book, including all journaling
59. Wean from my bed in the mornings to toddler bed beside mine
60. Child-led wean from nursing
61. Teach Jezek to recognize and name colors and shapes

63. Sing to him

Briar

64. Child-led solid food introduction
65. Virgin gut until 6 months
66. Breastfeed her as long as she needs
67. Use cloth diapers until she is potty-trained
68. Always talk to Briar in a soft, gentle voice, never shout, and maybe 1 out of the 4 can be salvaged
69. Wear Briar in the Mei Tai regularily
70. Take lots of pictures and keep facebook album updates for friends and family

Work

71. Encourage D and M to obtain Level I
72. Go over new expectations with D and M...be firm!
73. Get 2006 and 2007 accounting to accountant
74. Get 2008 accounting to accountant on time!
75. Pay WCB
76. Develop plan proposal and send to Deb
77. Work on goals and communication between C and S
78. Start 1-3 new OSC from scratch in neighbourhood
79. Take advantage of new gov't funds and enroll in business course
80. Don't give any deals! Follow through with late fees/NSF fines
81. Spend more time hands-on at daycares and interacting with staff and children

Books and Journaling

82. Update this blog every week
83. Finish 50,000 words during NaNoWriMo (1500 words per day)
84. Keep BLISS blog updated
85. Take books out of the library and read to boys
86. Purchase copy of Dr. Tom Hale's book "Medication and Mother's Milk", Dr. Jack Newman's Breastfeeding Book, and Patricia Joudry's "And the Children Played".
